In accordance with Section 25 (2) of the Reform (Sark) Law, 2008, as amended, I hereby declare that the above-named candidate is duly elected to be a Conseiller of the Chief Pleas of Sark. There remain two unfilled vacancies from this By-Election and these vacancies will be held over to the General Election in December 2022. The above-named Conseiller (Designate) is elected to serve a term of office ending in January 2023. The above-named Conseillers (Designate) will take the Oaths of Allegiance and Office, or Affirmations, before the Seneschal’s Court, at a date and time to be arranged.

Returning Officer for Sark 9th March 2022
In accordance with the Reform (Sark) Law, 2008 as amended and with The Reform (Election of Conseillers) (By-Election) (Sark) Ordinance, 2022 A BY-ELECTION OF CONSEILLERS SHALL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY 23 MARCH 2022. The Polling Station shall be at the ISLAND HALL (TOPLIS ROOM) and voting shall take place from 10.00 am until 6.00 pm that day. PRESCRIBED FORMS OF NOMINATION OF CANDIDATE to stand as a Conseiller are available from the office of the Speaker of Chief Pleas, forms may also be downloaded here, and shall be completed by two persons and the candidate all of whose names shall be inscribed on the Electoral Register and shall be delivered by hand of one of the persons named on the form to the Speaker or Deputy Speaker of Chief Pleas (Returning Officer and Deputy Returning Officer respectively), not later than 12 Noon on Friday 11 March 2022.
Forms of Nomination shall not be returned before 1.00 PM on Tuesday the 22 February 2022. The returning of nomination forms to the Speakers Office is to be as follows: Tuesday 22 February, Wednesday 23 February, Friday 25 February, Tuesday 1 March, Wednesday 2 March, Friday 4 March, Tuesday 8 March, Wednesday 9 March between 1 pm & 3 pm. Friday 11 March between 10 am and 12 noon. On arrival at the Speakers’ Office, the Speaker checks the validity of the Nomination Form. The Speaker will let you know immediately about the validity of the form and any actions to be take if the form is invalid. In the event of an equality of votes being given to two or more candidates, and the addition of one more vote to his/her poll would have entitled such candidate to be elected, a further election shall be held in accordance with the above stated Law and Ordinance on Wednesday 13 April 2022; in respect of such candidates only and without further nomination, between the persons who have obtained such equality of votes.
The Polling Station shall be at the same place and between the same hours as stated above.
